RESPONSIBILITIES/PURPOSE: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Position will be a Lean System process expert that provides overall leadership and coordination of property transformations. Position will have leadership responsibilities for coaching and training at all levels of the Harrah's property in the Operating, Management, and Cultural Systems. Accountable for the deployment process and for working closely with continuous improvement teams to ensure deliverables are met. This position has significant impact on the successful deployment of LEAN which will drive the company's ability to deliver what customers' value, eliminate waste and improve productivity. Key accountabilities will include: Facilitate cultural and strategic change across functional department boundaries. Collaborate with continuous improvement leaders in creation of future state value stream maps and the implementation plan for getting from current state to future state. Monitor and facilitate all phases of implementation. Lead senior leadership workshops on principles of LEAN, cultural transformation, leadership mindset. Develop a team-based learning work environment along with the appropriate structure. A completed checklist of the physical and mental demands incumbent to this position as well as the working conditions under which these duties are performed is on the reverse or available upon request. Those demands and conditions occurring on a consistent basis are deemed essential to the performance of these essential duties.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred: Bachelors Degree Extensive knowledge of Lean System tools (5S, TPM, kanban, value stream management, visual factory, poka-yokes, heijunka, SMED, etc) is preferred. Must be change agent able to work with all levels of employees from hourly workers to senior level management in a matrixed environment. Experience delivering training, coaching, and developing employees. Preferred: MBA or equivalent. Experience in applying lean principles and experience throughout the enterprise (transactional experience).
