At TSA, we act swiftly and with integrity to: -Discover and stop emerging transportation security threats, utilizing state of the art technology -Educate and provide friendly customer service to travelers -Screen passengers and gather intelligence -Coordinate security involving aviation, rail, and other surface and maritime transportation -Oversee most transportation-related responsibilities of the federal government during a national emergency Major Duties This is a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst position located in the Office of Civil Rights and Liberties (OCRL), Office of the Special Counselor, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security. If you are selected for this position you will serve as the Chief, Strategy and Analysis within the Office of Civil Rights and Liberties. The duties and responsibilities of this position involve a wide range of high-level analytical activities such as: - Directing a staff performing data analysis, which includes collecting information; determining the validity and application of various types of specific information and data requirements; application of various methods for evaluating program data to acquire relevant information used in providing reasonable inferences and well supported conclusions for Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity programs and activities. -Providing oversight of studies and analyses conducted by staff used to determine compliance with agency regulations, procedures, sound management practices, and workforce plans. -Providing advice and guidance on Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity laws to devise and/or recommend plans for new or improved business and management practices used to enhance agency programs or operations.
Requirements: Experience Requirements To qualify for the SV-J pay band (equivalent to the GS-14), you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-I pay band or the GS-13 in the Federal service, or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped the you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must include developing, implementing, and evaluating EEO programs; providing project/program management oversight of organizational strategic priorities; researching issues that may impact future programs; and developing methods to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of program operations.
