His ancestors arrived from Italy in the early thirties. Striking out on his own, he started a custom farm service company in 1981. Following the rapid growth of the business he began to farm in 1984 becoming one of the largest farmers in the area. In 1990 a fertilizer company was started to complement the farm and to assure delivery of chemicals necessary in agriculture. Green Touch Fertilizer also manufactures organic fertilizers and markets commercial fertilizers in Arizona and California. In 1993, to complement the forage division of the farm, we started Eight Star Commodities which double-compresses and markets the forage products abroad and domestically. On the heels of that expansion, a seed conditioning facility was built to pair with the farms seed producing capabilities. Allstar Seed Company conditions and markets seed and grain internationally and domestically. Our seed coating division was built in 2005. Position reports directly to the President. Your key responsibilities and qualifications are:Key Responsibilities:Acquire, manage and build strong partnerships with mass merchants and regional retailers for distribution of the Companys forage seed and packaged forage products Negotiate new product listings and slotting with buyers Plan and execute annual promotional programs with customersPlan and implement successful launches of new products and packagingAchieve sales volume budget. Analyze sales progress to budget and plan for corrective actions when necessaryCoordinate and outline the development of marketing materials and website updatesMaintain thorough understanding of customer and forage seed and packaged forage environmentSuccessful candidates will have the ability to build our domestic marketing department from the ground up, candidates will be responsible for growing domestic market share by developing sales with National mass merchants.Looking for a candidate with a proven track record of growth in previous marketing roles as well as a creative and fresh outlook to market needsCandidate must be able to multi-task and handle projects according to importance and time sensitivity as directed by President of companyCandidate must be results driven, goal-oriented and have great communications skillSkillsQualifications & Requirements:10+ years experience in mass merchant/regional retailer sales and marketing in the consumer products industry, preferably the seed or agricultural industriesExcellent selling and presentation skillsProficient written communication skillsProficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent organizational and follow-up skillsTeam player who is results-oriented and self-motivatedBachelors degreeAbility to travel 50% of
