The Associate will oversee all transaction aspects including transaction origination, partner identification and qualification, transaction underwriting and valuation, transaction closure, and ongoing investment management with in a given asset class. The Associate will work individually and as part of a small team and must interact effectively with senior management, internal administration, legal and tax resources, and external parties. Specific duties include: Develop and manage a network of market contacts, including potential sellers, partners, asset managers, intermediaries, and market experts;Underwrite and value target transactions by using valuation methodologies, identifying and researching risks, and modeling cash flows;Make investment recommendations to management;Develop and negotiate transaction structures with partners and manage transaction closure processes;Coordinate structure development and closure activities with internal risk, administrative, tax and legal resources, and external parties;Monitor the ongoing performance of transactions, seek ways to maximize transaction value, and communicate investment status to management;Source deals through an existing network and broaden the network to ensure a steady supply of investment opportunities. Position must locate in Minnesota. Requirements: Masters degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.Four (4) years of experience in an Investment/Finance environment with transaction origination, underwriting, negotiation, and structuring experience.Understanding of transaction valuation.Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, Excel proficiency.Strong verbal and writing skills, excellent attention to detail.Strong time management skill and ability to operate under demanding deadlines.Entrepreneurial/Opportunistic approach.Ability to work independently and in teams.Established network that can be leveraged to source transactions and industry knowledge.
