We are seeking a systems administrator.
Cognos installation and administration,
Ascential IBM Datastage installation and administration
Unix IBM (AIX)
Knowledge of Websphe is desirable
As a member of the Deployment and Administration team, you will provide high quality deployment and infrastructure related administration for Cognos, and Ascential ETL to the application development community. This is a demanding and fast paced environment. To succeed you must have a positive self starter attitude and be driven to provide the best service possible.
You will participate in planning sessions with project managers, development analysts and team members to execute deployments globally. You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input as necessary. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout.
Position requires the ability to work off hours support as needed
Job Experience:
Minimum of three years of work experience in a client server environment
Knowledge of J2EE technologies (2-3 years) and
Familiarity with JDBC/RDBMS, XML, and MQ Series
Working knowledge of Unix and shell scripting
Knowledge of Webspehere development studio (WASD) or Eclipse to develop Java utilities for monitoring and management
Working knowledge of basic network technologies
Working knowledge of Oracle SQL/PLSQL
Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
Experience utilizing LDAP
Solid testing and debugging skills
Experience with Cognos environments
Solid understanding of security / entitlement concepts
