The Senior VoIP/Network Engineer will interact with end users, carriers, and colleagues. This individual must possess strong oral and written communication skills and must excel at maintaining positive business relationships. The Senior VoIP/Network Engineer provides technical expertise in complex data/voice network design, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting. This engineer tests, configures, upgrades, installs, and troubleshoots networking and telephony equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and IADs. Company is both carrier and hardware independent. The engineer's expertise must be with the technology, not a single brand of hardware products. Additionally, the Senior VoIP/Network Engineer designs and maintains monitoring and network performance measurement systems and resources, and provides creative development solutions to expand our monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities, as well as our managed service offerings.

Required expertise:
Redundancy solutions
Advanced IP Routing including Router Prioritization and Techniques; Carrier IP Routing
MPLS - QoS/CoS
VOIP Technology, including H.323, SCCP, and SIP
LAN/WAN Optimization
VPN Tunneling
Networking hardware configuration (Cisco, Sonicwall, Netopia preferred)
Desired Familiarity:
AdTran, Broadsoft, Polycom
Proficiency in the Following A strong Plus:
Microsoft and Linux OS
C, C++ programming
MySQL
RAID
