PLEASE CLICK HERE TO APPLYJob Description: Akimeka Technologies LLC, a Hawaiian based company, has an exciting opportunity for a Documentation Analyst with a software development project. The position is located Fort Detrick in Frederick, MD and requires U.S. Citizenship.
Duties will include the following:The analyst will assist in the development of project documentation and training materials for the various applications within the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) family of systems, with a focus area of Online Help and web-based distance learning modules. The analyst will work closely with key individuals within the Joint Medical Logistics Functional Development Center (JMLFDC), such as Engineering Life Cycle Management team leads, the organization?s documentation and training manager, and other document analysts to prioritize the work for particular DMLSS releases as well as releases of other DMLSS-related applications, such as the Joint Medical Asset Repository (JMAR). The analyst will capture e-learning statistics for distribution to the JMLFDC leadership and to functional representatives from each of the military services. The analyst will assist with the creation and update of all DMLSS project-related life cycle management documentation as needed and ensure that the DMLSS systems are properly documented in accordance with the DOD, MHS, DHSS, and DMLSS/JMLFDC configuration management policies and standards. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or related discipline; an applicable training certificate from an accredited institution will be considered in lieu of a BA/BS.
Required Skills:3 + years? experience in project document preparation in accordance with standard industry practices Experience with online help and e-learning modules Ability to work closely with business analysts to gather information for developing new or updating existing e-learning modules, documentation, and sustainment training activities. Ability to verify that documents reflect logical flow of material, tables of contents, indexes and page numbering. Ability to maintain online help modules and documentation as configuration-controllled items to reflect changes in software updates. Demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products, especially: MS Project MS Word MS Excel MS Powerpoint Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-starter requiring minimal supervision Desired Skills: DoD project exposure Knowledge of and experience with automated documentation and web development tools such as: Adobe products (After Effects, Soundbooth (formally called Audition), Bridge, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Photoshop, RoboHelp, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro) SnagIt Experience in performing vendor analysis, e-Learning product analysis, design and development evaluation and implementation. Strong organizational and administrative skills Job Type: Full-time term employee through on/about 7 May 2010 Position Location/Timeframe: This position is located in Fort Detrick, Frederick, MD Clearance: Must be a US citizen.
