America?s Choice, a subsidiary of The National Center on Education and the Economy, is accepting resumes to hire full time or part time literacy, math and/or leadership coaches. Selected candidates will be assigned to a cluster of schools that are participating in America ?s Choice?s comprehensive and rigorous college preparation initiative. Under the direction of the Project Manager, each coach will work with teachers, principals and district leadership to inject a high level of rigor into school curriculum and teacher professional development. Positions are available in DeKalb County , Georgia , Oklahoma City , Tulsa , Oklahoma and Arkansas . The ideal candidate is a current or recently retired K-12 teacher or principal with a demonstrated track record of elevating student math and literacy achievement levels through teacher development or classroom practice.
Minimum qualifications include 6+ years of teaching/administrative experience at K-12 level, (2) Master's degree or equivalent academic preparation in English Language Arts, mathematics or closely subsumed fields, (3) significant experience and skill in coaching adults in content delivery, (4) residence within the geographic area being served, and (5) ability to travel several times per year to meet program training needs. Selected candidates will enter into America ?s Choice Certification Program.
