Your company is a growing, progressive electrical contractor in the greater San Jose area. Projects are primarily commercial, industrial and institutional nbsp;located throughout greater Bay and Silicon Valley . The emphasis is tenant improvement and new construction. They are seeking experienced candidates with at least 5 -10 years or more of electrical project management with midsized or larger contractor.nbsp;SIGNIFICANT CAREER GROWTH OPPORTUNITY!Your opportunity, challenge and responsibilities include complete responsibility for the profitability and success of the projects working with key clients.nbsp;Yoursquo;ll help estimate andnbsp;manage the worknbsp;from start to finish.nbsp; Yoursquo;llnbsp;update cost projections for the project as necessary and provide a weekly update tonbsp;management as to project status, problems, challenges, needs etc. In addition, yoursquo;ll establish field staffing plan for the project and work with the clientnbsp;andnbsp;your teamnbsp;to identify potential changes in the project scope.nbsp; Yoursquo;ll ensure key material delivery schedules are met, project stays on schedule and at or under budget and complete closeout documentation.nbsp;This is a hands on position that will test your ability tonbsp;complete multiple projects and expand relationshipsnbsp;with the multiple clients.nbsp;nbsp;The skills experience and qualifications yoursquo;ll need to be successful are 5-10 years of electrical project managementnbsp;experience on commercialnbsp;construction projects. You must be able to project manage work from small jobs in the thousands of dollars to projects in the $10Mnbsp;range. Many of the projects area in the $250K -$2M range. It is likely yoursquo;ll be responsible for multi-million dollars worth of multiple smaller special projects at one time. Experience in design / build, design /assist, cost plus and conceptualnbsp;work desirable. Field experience and completion of electrical apprenticeship desired.nbsp; You must be familiar with industry-standard project management methods and local and national electrical codes. A good driving record required. You must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and other tests as required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge ofnbsp;Accubid 9 and Accubid Change Order 9 desired. Experience with othernbsp;comparable estimating systems acceptable. BIM and 3D modeling knowledge desired.
