Summary of essential job functionsØ Provide instruction on current domestic and international terrorist threats and TTPs to include; IED threats (e.g. remote controlled, command detonated, etc.); explosive hazards, homemade explosive hazards and the planning process to respond to an IED scene/incident.Ø Facilitate practical hands on familiarization training with specialized training devices, detection and identification equipment/methods and the theory and application of electronic countermeasures. Ø Contribute to curriculum improvements to course materials through continuous research, Intelligence gathering and training revision.Ø Maintain knowledge base as a subject matter expert in assigned course content.Ø Perform set up practical IED problems for students incorporating command and control scenarios; booby trap house set up, and drill scenarios during the Field Training Exercise.Ø Assist the team lead in conducting extensive real time research based on current intelligence threats and incorporates into scenarios as requested by the customer.Ø Conduct IED research using tools such as SIPR, periodicals, journals, open source internet, etc., to identify and interpret evolving threats and innovations in techniques, tactics, and procedures within the C-IED and Counter Terrorism communities.Ø Provide recommendations and inputs for development and manufacturing of current theatre exercise props as required for specialized training exercises.Ø Formulate and prepare draft and final versions of scenarios, incident descriptions, exercise plans player/controller handbooks and After Action Reports (AAR) for review and approval, while coordinating exercise requirements with unit commanders and other senior program management personnel.Ø Develop curriculum and continuously assess course materials and training aids for necessary improvements via research, Intel gathering and content revision.Ø Maintain knowledge base as a subject matter expert in assigned course content.Ø Design, modeling and fabrication of student and customer training aidsØ IED components, construction and functionality, and IED recognition and reactionØ Enemy IED attack tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP)Ø Specialized C-IED enablers. Students will be introduced to capabilities and limitations of SCIED enablers including EOD, WIT, Search, Forensics and Biometrics, CEXC, CITP, TEDAC, TF TROY, JCCS-1, COIC, etc. Ø IED recognition and reaction lanesØ Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively deliver complicated curriculum to a wide variety of audiencesØ Experience in the development and maintenance of training curriculumEducation and Experience Ø Significant field experience in military or civilian EOD/Counter‐IED operations Certifications and Other Qualifications Ø Military Master Training Specialist or equivalent.
