Summary:This position is responsible for developing, producing and administering marketing program analysis including but not limited to product marketing, disease marketing, pricing, segment marketing, research, and special programs as assigned. In addition they will be broadly responsible for data analytics and data mining and for adding insight through data analysis to the organization and for the marketing group. They will coordinate and work closely with the marketing team, the finance team, the sales group, operations, and IT as needed. This position will provide analysis of both existing and potential business produced by sales, marketing and other business initiatives by initiating, gathering, interpreting and presenting actionable marketing data and recommendations to the marketing and management teams. The position will work with other function to assess market size and lead all marketing and segmentation efforts for the Hospital Service business. The position will provide support to marketing and product managers in routine and adhoc analysis as required.ý This position will be involved in the annual business planning process as well as playing a role in the planning and forecasting functions. This person will coordinate with the Finance, Marketing Operations, and Sales departments to meet company financial and sales objectives in accordance with specified company process and policies. Supports applicable regulations including ISO, Local, State, and/or Federal requirements. ý Responsibilities-Develop and maintain management reports outlining the effectiveness of company business initiatives (e.g. sales and marketing key indicators by campaign), develop conclusions and offer insights from findings. Work with marketing team to present conclusions as appropriate. Work with marketing team and management team to provide business analysis and support the development of presentations for both internal and external audiences. Makes sure accurate and timely data is available for strategic decisions and for making financial objectives.-Maintain and update competitive database.-Develop and maintain data mining capabilities as needed.-Accountable for providing meaningful information and analysis on product sales, buying patterns, effectiveness of promotions and campaigns. -Maintain and manage competitive cross-reference database in conjunction with marketing and product managers, pricing analyst, finance, and technical experts.-Produce management reports and ad-hoc analysis as directed.-Contribute to annual planning and forecasting as directed.-Perform other duties as assigned. ý Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; Strong background in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, Word and Power Point. Access experience is strongly preferred. Individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills, detail orientation, and be able to manage multiple projects at one time. Knowledge of reference laboratory and/or diagnostics industry (in immunology/microbiology/infectious disease) as well as experience, contracting, marketing analysis, and sales processes is preferred.ý Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, findings and report conclusions, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
