Job Summary
In this role you will be responsible for developing & implementing the trade promotion plan strategy, tactics and funding for your respective business unit that is consistent with brand strategy and communicating that plan to the sales force. As Manager/Sr. Manager, you will take part in the overall management of an annual trade promotional operating budget and manage a trade analyst.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with Account Planning, Demand Planning, Business Information and Meeting Planning departments on the implementation and execution of national trade plans and forecasts. Act as an advisor/liaison between the business unit and sales force teams. Recommend trade spending rates and work on pricing issues with business unit finance personnel. Manage implementation of trade promotion strategy through sales force including forecasting and executing national plan, and helping identify specific or special regional promotional events with the goal of impacting positive brands growth. Identify retailer opportunities by brand. Create and help coordinate presentation materials for sales meetings, top-to-top meetings and other key retailer presentations. Oversee the evaluation of promotional events at a national level and special events at a retailer level to determine effectiveness. Take part in the centralized approval process for incremental funding. Facilitate retailer business planning process. Create warehouse bulletins.Basic Qualifications
Bachelorıı s degree; MBA a plus with 5-7 years trade marketing/sales experience preferably within a Consumer Product Goods industry. Ability to successfully work cross-functionally and manage third party vendors. Previous large customer sales experience, particularly in food, drug and mass accounts. Demonstrated analytical, collaborative and consultative abilities. Excellent presentation, prioritization, and communication skills. Excellent planning, analysis and budgeting skills. Demonstrated personal initiative, responsibility and time prioritization skills. PC proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Ability to effectively work in a matrix management structure; interface with various levels of management
