We are looking for a top-notch developer to participate in the growth of our enterprise wide data warehouse.
Position Summary As a Sr Data Warehouse Developer (MUMPS) you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining existing data warehouse IDX extraction processes as well as leading the development of new subject areas. You will be involved in all phases of development from the definition of business requirements through development and testing to the implementation and documentation of the processes and procedures produced for data warehouse operations. This is an opportunity to bring your development skills and project management skills to the next level.
Essential Responsibilities ' Consulting with clients and management staff in information gathering, design, development, documentation and deployment for new data warehouse subject areas. ' Lead small project teams to enhance existing data warehouse subject areas further optimizing existing functionality and processes when feasible. ' Identification and resolution of information flow and content issues working to insure data consistency and integrity. ' Pursue continuous improvement of data quality, standardization of processes, and quality of service. ' Works to broaden career by taking advantage of on the job training, attending courses, and pursuing self-study to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities. ' Performs other duties as required.
Job Specifications ' Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field. ' Previous experience in M programming with in the IDX data structures. ' Excellent analytical ability. ' Excellent communication skills demonstrating the ability to work effectively with both business clients and technical management and staff. ' Some knowledge of the causes of and remedies of performance issues in a Cache environment from an M coding perspective. ' Prefer previous experience working in an IDX environment, as well as, VMS operating system specific scripting and execution. Health Care knowledge preferred.
