Performs functions related to the control, monitoring and dispensing of medications for all age groups of patients according to department procedures and protocols in a safe, cost effective, and timely manner. Supervises medication preparation by pharmacy technicians and advises nursing personnel regarding appropriate medication administration. Promotes the rational use of medications via provision of drug information and clinical monitoring services to members of the medical community. Education: Graduation from an accredited college of pharmacy. Experience: Hospital experience preferred. Prior night shift experience preferred but not required. License and Certification: Licensed as a registered Pharmacist in Connecticut or eligible to receive licensure within 45 days Rotating weekends Nights
