Job Details: - B.S.N. required or must be enrolled in a BSN completion p - BCLS Required - Current Registered Nurse License - A minimum of 3-5 years of Healthcare experience. Under general supervision, provides leadership to a patient care department and/or cost center ensuring the quality of care and optimizing operational effectiveness. Utilizes skills in assessing, planning, organizing and evaluating the provision of patient care. Evidences system thinking, initiates improvement strategies, promotes employee development and works collaboratively. Has 24-hour accountability for the provision of care. Adheres to principles of Service Care and the philosophy and mission of Mercy in all aspects of job performance. This position is responsible for the Critical Care Units (pod 1, pod 3, pod 4) Qualifications: 1.Is a Registered Nurse maintaining a current Iowa license. B.S.N. required or must be enrolled in a BSN completion program. 2.Requires a minimum of three to five years relevant work experience. Two to five years of management experience preferred. 3.National Certification in specialty encouraged. 4.Ability to cope with frequent stress and capable of successfully working through adversity. 5. Is able to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team. 6.Is able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change. 7.May be requested to travel within the Siouxland region. When assigned to travel, a valid drivers license and proof of insurance will be submitted to manager prior to travel. HJ
