Support Analyst PLEASE CLICK HERE TO APPLY Job Description: Akimeka Technologies, a Hawaiian based company, has an exciting opportunity for a Functional Analyst. The position is located Fort Detrick, Frederick MD and requires U.S. Citizenship. The position will work with fellow staff and project customers to continue to drive the development of the Joint Medical Asset Repository (JMAR), a web-based military medical logistics data repository / warehouse, through support to the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) medical logistics application. The Functional Analyst will support DMLSS users, developers and support personnel by: Providing Tier 3 help desk support to all DMLSS sites and assisting the Military Health Services (MHS) help desk in the resolution of applicable Tier 1 & 2 customer issues, ensuring appropriate updates and statuses are made to appropriate automated tracking tools. Working with users to validate problems and creating trackers when appropriate; initiating, updating and tracking all Trouble Problem Reports (TPRs) associated with their corresponding help desk trouble tickets through closure. Coordinating with developers for application fixes and data patches, and then testing these patches, fixes or Systems Change Requests (SCRs) prior to deployment as a result of a help desk-created tracker. Performing as a trainer and/or functional consultant for implementation of functional DMLSS or JMAR software at the user site level; and providing subject matter expertise in support of on-line help files and the sustainment of step-by-step training aids. Performing tests on existing, revised, and new DMLSS and JMAR software.Supporting all DMLSS sites in the conversion from DMLSS v 3.0.6 to DMLSS v 3.1.X; working with on-site personnel to ensure sites have full DMLSS capability, and assisting with pre-deployment coordination activities. Education:Bachelor?s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. Seven years relevant experience may be substituted for education. Experience and Required Skills: 4-6 years of military medical logistics hands-on experience User experience with the DMLSS application Must have some experience in at least 2 of the following: requirements definition, system design, data requirements definition, database design Familiarity with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel) Strong self-starterDesired Skills: Knowledge and understanding of DoD medical logistics business processes, supply chain and IT systems 3-7 years experience in technical disciplines of information management system design and development, including all phases of the system development life cycle.
