Volunteers of America Chesapeake accomplishes its spiritually based mission by serving over 10,000 people annually through programs that spread geographically from Baltimore, Maryland to Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The Food Service Assistant is responsible for maintaining the kitchen and dining areas (including bathrooms) in a clean and sanitary manner.
The working hours for this position are rotating. One week is Saturday through Tuesday (26 hours) and then the next week is Saturday through Monday (21 hours).
This position is located at: Baltimore, MD.
The successful candidate must possess basic educational skills; and one to two years work experience in the food service industry. The candidate must also have a physical completed before beginning employment. All Residential Re-entry Center employees must be medically cleared of active Tuberculosis through TB testing and/or treatment prior to beginning employment and then annually thereafter.
The position requires a general knowledge of sanitation regulations as they apply to food service and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
