Sales Manager-Indirect Sales - Twinsburg, OH Job Description: General Summary: The Sales Manager-Indirect is responsible for meeting the salesobjectives of the indirect channel throughout a designated area. Developschannel business plans and turn them into actionable activities. Supervises,which includes setting employee objectives, performance management,coaching/counseling and assisting employees with individual developmentplanning, account managers who support Alltel agents. Create and execute adistribution plan for the indirect channel, and perform other duties as assignedor deemed necessary Typical job duties for the Indirect Sales Manager are asfollows: - Analyze and report on performance measures to achieve indirectchannel sales and financial objectives - Create a prospecting plan for newagents to enhance market area distribution strategy - Regularly meet with agentprincipals for the purpose of identifying additional opportunities for indirectchannel improvement - Analyze indirect channel issues and deliver timely,appropriate resolutions - Conduct regular meetings through one-on-ones and jointsales calls with account managers Minimum Requirements: Strong influencemanagement and interpersonal skills. Excellent understanding of retail sales,distribution and merchandising strategies. Must be able to effectively manageremote employees. Ability to quickly analyze information and transfer into abusiness plan. Effective project management skills. Efficient personal timemanagement. Compliance with all Alltel policies and procedures. Some overnighttravel will be required when conducting joint sales call with direct reports.Education and Experience: College degree or equivalent and 5-7 yearsprofessional experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or 9+ yearsprofessional level equivalent related experience with 2-3 years supervisoryexperience; or a combination of education and related professional levelexperience required. Desired Qualifications: Thorough understanding of Alltelproducts and services. Working knowledge of Alltel billing and support systemsas well as Microsoft Office suite. Remote supervision experience is preferred.
