|
Manages, develops, coordinates, and oversees Calpinersquo;s predictive maintenance program. Implements plans and manages various programs to improve the operation and maintenance of the plant. Provides planning and coordination of predictive maintenance activities to minimize forced outages. Supports technical evaluation of potential plant operational problems relating to predictive maintenance techniques. Provides technical support for plant, troubleshooting operational issues using predictive techniques. Develops and maintains predictive maintenance procedures in accordance with contractual requirements. Provides reports detailing predictive maintenance activities and outages plans. Oversees vibration analysis, rotor-dynamic analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis, laser shaft alignment, electric motor testing, balancing, thermal growth monitoring, and failure analysis for root-cause evaluations, with contracted service providers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:bull; Accomplishes work through others. Manages predictive maintenance function with an operational focus. bull; Manages employees performing related duties including full human resources, cost and budgetary accountabilities. bull; Assist Supply Chain Services in development of contract services for PdM onsite data gathering and analysis. bull; Manage contracted resources fleet wide. bull; Decisions typically related to resources, project approach, and tactical operations. bull; Results have significant impact on costs and the achievement of function objectives or project-based goals. bull; Makes decisions for large-scale projects, a closely related set of projects and initiatives involving own and possibly related functional areas. bull;nbsp; Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines tactical approach, resources, schedules and goals. bull; Works within general guidelines; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems for a function. bull;nbsp; Manages the predictive maintenance function. Regularly manages large-scale projects/activities or a very closely related set of projects/activities. bull; Plans, organizes, and carries out long-range operation and maintenance strategies bull; Responsible for performance reviews, promotional decisions, and pay actions for support and professional levels. Education and Experience:bull; Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. bull; Previous work leadership or senior level contributor experience. bull; Detailed understanding of electrical generating power plants. bull; Typically requires minimum of 10+ years of power plant predictive maintenance management experience, and 15+ years experience in bull; predictive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems and components. 25% Travel required
