Calpine owns, leases and operates integrated systems of fuel-efficient natural gas-fired and renewable geothermal power plants.The Compliance Manager is responsible for administrating the facilityrsquo;s environmental programs and ensuring compliance with all Calpine and environmental standards.nbsp;In addition, the Compliance Manager will assist in managing and administering other programs to insure the plants are in compliance with all applicable permits, Federal, State and Local laws, and California Energy Commission Conditions of Certification.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for administering the Environmental programs for Construction Services. Assure compliance with all Local, State and Federal regulations as they apply to the environment. Responsible for preparation of required periodic reports in a timely fashion and in accordance with the applicable permit conditions. Responsible for submittal of documents in accordance with applicable California Energy Commission Conditions of Certification. Inspects construction site for compliance with applicable LORS. Manage site hazardous materials and waste. Assist site ownerrsquo;s representatives with environmental compliance. Assist site contractors to ensure their compliance with applicable LORS. Qualifications: Experience associated with power plant operations preferred. Must have good general knowledge of environmental health and safety rules and regulations associated with power generation facilities or large construction projects. Good oral and written communication skills required. Must be comfortable speaking in front of people. A Bachelors degree in an environmental science field, health and safety training, or equivalent working experience. Must know how to lead as well as work in a team environment. Must be able to use the Microsoft Office Suite.
