The Senior Marketing/CRM Analyst is responsible for providing analytical evaluation of Marketing initiatives and contributing to the development of successful Customer Relationship Marketing Programs for Express. This position reports to the Manager of Customer Marketing.
Essential Tasks & Responsibilities 1. Conducts statistically based response and financial analysis of direct mail, e-mail, credit card and gift card programs. 2. Predictably forecast sales and traffic impacts of campaigns. 3. Track results to quantify impact on sales, profit and expense in comparison to projections. 4. Analyzes offer and segmentation strategy to identify growth opportunities. 5. Designs projectable, statistically valid tests and campaigns. 6. Develop reporting and analytic tools to empower users to access results 7. Lead development of reporting and analytic capabilities with new CRM service provider
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required * Demonstrated analytical capability * Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business questions and issues and communicate insights and learnings * Creative, innovative, and results oriented * Project management experience * Ability to meet aggressive deadlines * Technical skill proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions * Technical skill proficiency in Microsoft Access including report building and database development * Technical skill proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Presentations Business Cases * SAS or SQL experience a plus
Work Experience and Education * Five to seven years of customer database marketing experience (more on the 7-year side) * Three to five years of analytical experience (more on the 5-year side) * Previous direct mail and strategic planning experience * Demonstrated analytical capability and communication skills * Project management experience * Creative, innovative and results oriented * Ability to meet aggressive deadlines * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Marketing, or equivalent business experience Advanced Degree, MBA, an asset
