Job Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Supervisor of Scheduling & Work Coordination, manage monthly schedule to efficiently utilize construction and maintenance crews or distribution designers in alignment with business, operational, and financial goals.
Direct weekly scheduling meetings with essential stakeholders using remote technology.
Develop and maintain the four-week rolling schedule and deliver a week 0 lockdown schedule as a benchmark for performance metrics.
Work directly with Work Coordinator or Design Supervisor to schedule resources meeting internal/external customer expectations.
Leverage technology to forecast, prioritize, and bundle work into an optimized schedule.
Apply resource strategies, including roving, overtime, and contractor usage to ensure efficient scheduling and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Manage and assign resources identified in the Integrated Short-Term Planning work plan for projects and programs.
Anticipate and actively manage the impact of scheduling decisions for all stakeholders involved.
Effectively communicate scheduled priorities and changes across lines of business.
Manage work queue and develop prioritized contingency work in order to capitalize on opportunities to achieve safety, efficiency, reliability, and financial goals.
Monitor prerequisites to meet customer need dates, ensure work progression, and coordinate long-lead material orders.
Participate in emergency restoration activities as required.
Demonstrate personal accountability and excellent organizational skills to deliver performance excellence.
Possess general knowledge of electrical equipment, vehicles, tools, operation, and construction practices.
Understand local labor agreements and geographical constraints.
Demonstrate proficient computer skills in STORMS, I-Scheduler, Track Star, MS Office applications, and the ERP system as developed.
Display well-developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface and communicate with people at all levels across organizational boundaries.
Portray an understanding of corporate finance and budgeting practices.
Seek opportunities to drive continuous improvements in performance through application of best practice.
Apply creative problem-solving skills in a team environment.
Qualifications:
Associateý??s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business
or equivalent experience.
Five years of broad experience with distribution operations preferred.
