Summary:
The Senior Lead Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical leadership in the development of high-performance network communications systems. This includes serving as the lead technical authority supporting program execution, strategy development and business development. This role will include frequent interface with customers, teammates and senior technical staff. Experience with signaling, TCP/IP programming, and element or network management system (NMS) techniques is desired. This position requires frequent interaction with both customers and senior management.

Your responsibilities will include:
ýýý Providing technical leadership to ongoing and emerging product development teams.
ýýý Establishing system architecture and leading analysis and management of requirements on various network communications systems programs.
ýýý Establishing the concept of operations (CONOPS) for various network communications systems.
ýýý Leading an Integrated Product Team (IPT) responsible for the specification, design, development, integration, verification and validation of complex network communications systems.
ýýý Leading technical liaison with customer(s) and teammates.
ýýý Exercising mature judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
ýýý Leading Project Engineering / Lead System Engineering responsibilities for key strategic programs with engineering groups.
ýýý Serving as the primary technical representative in customer technical interchange meetings in the pursuit of new business development.
ýýý Leading the identification of solutions to systems issues with the customer to ensure proper flow down of requirements.
ýýý Leading system level trade studies.

To qualify you must have an understanding of program elements such as CONOPS, communications interfaces, network systems, optical systems, and overall data communications systems. This requires a background in both the technical and program aspects of large defense programs, an understanding of its development processes and of accepted system engineering practices. Experience using DOORS (Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System), IBM/Telelogic TAU/SysML (Systems Modeling Language) or IBM/Telelogic System Architect, and CAIV (Cost As an Independent Variable) is desired.

TS/SCI with CI PolygraphMS or PhD in an engineering field, Physics, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics with 8 years experience or BS with minimum 10 years experience.

A minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership role dealing with network communication systems, or systems engineering management role in DOD acquisition and/or technical communities is required.

Equivalent years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
