Department: Food Service -Dietary
Provide care and instruction to meet the nutritional requirements of inpatients. Serve as a consultant to MMC staff and to the Food Service Department in normal and therapeutic nutrition concerns that require the professional skills and knowledge of a dietitian. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Bachelors Degree in Foods and Nutrition or related field. Must be a registered dietitian. Must be able to communicate and exchange information effectively. Must possess good analytical and organizational skills. Ability to concentrate, prioritize, plan, react calmly, and perform as a professional to resolve patient care problems, interact with patients families and other team members, in occasional stressful situations. Equipment requirements: audio- visual equipment, typewriter or computer, limited pieces of kitchen equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Extensive or considerable periods of standing and walking, occasional bending and lifting. WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to patient care environment. Occasional exposure to communicable diseases. Exposure to routine kitchen hazards. Part-time Days w/Wknd. Rotation required
