Take charge of the Purchasing/Materials Management Department: receive, store and issue materials, supplies and equipment used for patient care or other hospital departments. Take quarterly inventories, enter data into computer, and maintain stock records.
Responsibilities: ýýý Maintain appropriate stock levels; establish reorder points for all supplies.
ýýý Package and ship all parcels from the department; process appropriate forms.
ýýý Type purchase orders, enter receiving reports/invoices, follow-up on open purchase orders and vendor discrepancies.
ýýý Supervise processing of supplies (cleaning, packaging, sterilizing and storing) in accordance with established policies.
ýýý Solicit bids, identify potential cost savings, and issue purchase orders.
ýýý Maintain inventory control; ensure accuracy of data in purchasing computer system.
ýýý Contact Biomed/Maintenance regarding equipment requiring an electrical safety check.
ýýý Process all patient charges daily.
