Location: Hillcrest Department: Liver Transplant Payroll Title: Dietitian II Filing Deadline: 11/19/09 Salary commensurate with experience One part-time (50%) day shift position with benefits starting on the date of hire. The Transplant Dietitian: *Assumes total responsibility for the nutritional care of all pre - liver transplant patients and post liver transplantations by consultation. *Assesses pre-transplant nutritional needs, develops and implements nutritional care plans, and reports results as appropriate. *Provides education on nutrition for patients and family members. *Monitors long-term progress. *Participates in various transplant meetings and committees. *Serves as resource person on nutritional care of the pre and post renal transplant patient (by consultation). The Transplant Dietitian must: *Possess a Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition/Dietetics or a related field. *Be a CDR Registered Dietitian. *Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences. *Must possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability. Preferred: *Have prior Transplant Dietitian experience in an acute care setting. *Bilingual (English/Spanish)
