Albany International Corp., a leading textile manufacturer has an immediate opening for an SAP Basis/Security Administrator to support our SAP landscape that includes ERP, BW, GTS, and Solution Manager. The role of Basis/Security Administrator includes configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system. The Basis/Security Administrator is responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems. Additional areas include the evaluation and design of interfaces between SAP and external systems, and management of the migration of SAP database and application configuration into production as well as analysis, development, and maintenance of data architectures and process models within SAP. A key area of responsibility will be the documentation and updating of the existing SAP environment.
A qualified individual must possess the ability to:
Monitor Basis system status and develop automated monitoring and metrics solutions.
Work with SAP technical support resources and internal IS personnel to troubleshoot system problems and identify solutions.
Train and mentor other IS personnel performing SAP tasks including monitoring, authorizations, and software transports.
Apply SAP application specific system patches and system upgrades when necessary.
Work with Enterprise Data Service team with deployment and maintenance of SAP servers in our landscape.
Provision and assign access to SAP systems, adhering to governance, risk and compliance requirements.
Analyze situations and provide problem resolution. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
Experience required
Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years related SAP experience; a Bachelors degree in Computer Science; at least 3 years SAP administration experience with ECC 5.0 or higher; participated in multiple successful (at least two) SAP implementations (full life cycle); and experience in requirements gathering/definition, configuration, testing, cutover and support. Experience with R/3, Netweaver 7.x, BI 7.0, SEM, GTS, CUA, Process Integration, GRC Suite, Enterprise Portal, and Solution Manager is desired. Familiarity with Windows 2003/2008 server, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, and Microsoft Cluster environment is desired. US Citizen or Green Card holder required.
