As a community relations coordinator you will be responsible for prospecting, establishing, and maintaining an ethical network of referral sources.Minimum of two (2) years of college with a degree in a Health related field or Business Administration preferred. . Two (2) years experience in Medical service industry with emphasis in Home Health Administration, Public Relations or Community based Programs. Knowledge of reimbursement programs for Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance and private pay. Experience in coordinating continuing education programs related to Medical Professionals with emphasis in Home Health, Hospice, Infusion Services or other Health awareness services. Must possess strong report writing skills and communication skills, and be able to convey ideas and opportunities for improvement. Ability to assist with writing and implementing a Plan of Correction for compliance with industry rules and regulations. Ability to work cooperatively with administration and members of the clinical staff to create educational ideas with specific measurable goals. Ability to work outside the office approximately 80% of the time to accomplish major tasks, duties, and responsibilities. Ability to travel within the city and other assigned territories, to meet service objectives. Ability to work under pressure, make good judgments, be tactful, independent, assertive and professional in demeanor. Ability to keep educational and statistical information of a professional competitive and patient nature confidential. Ability to comply with professional standards and agency policies. Demonstrates adherence to the core Values of Dignity, Excellence, Responsiveness, and Collaboration in all dealings with patients, visitors, physicians, staff, vendors, and other customers. Normal mobility of neck, back, shoulders, a full range movement in limbs and manual dexterity. Ability to lift/transfer and manipulate objects common to office environment, weighing up to 30-40 pounds which may require pushing, pulling, and utilizing mostly upper body movement. Ability to stand, walk stoop, kneel, crouch, and /or crawl. Ability to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement and feel fine sensation to discern temperature, texture, size and shape. Vision corrected to 20/40 is acceptable with eye to hand coordination. Required hearing ability will offer depth perception and make the comprehension of instructions easier to follow.
