Position Summary


Public Relations Manager is responsible for the strategy, execution and reporting for both internal and external communications for the ITD division, including product and brand PR to support brand growth. This position will need to manage external PR agency and staff as well as managing direct relationships with editors, reviewers, analysts and bloggers to deliver brand and product messaging. The PR Manager is also responsible for press product sample management, distribution and tracking.



Common Essential Duties & Resp.


Strategy & Messaging Development
* Develop synergistic messaging with division strategy
* Create Annual Plans and ad hoc PR plans based on product roadmaps
* Develop and execute viral strategy
* Maintain brand and messaging synergy with other divisions and NAHQ
* Develop & execute a leadership platform for ITD
* Development and distribution of Press Kits for key product launches

Communication & Awards
* Clearly message B2B brand proposition to support brand growth
* Clearly message product propositions to support and foster benchmark product launches
* Develop award calendar and submission strategy including tracking
* Secure & distribute product samples
* Create & maintain a PR budget


Relationship Management
* Manage PR agency staff, deliverables, timelines and budget
* Maintain and grow relationships with the key media including editors, analysts and bloggers
* Secure & manage interviews with ITD personnel
* Support corporate PR initiatives (NAHQ Strategic Marketing)

Event Management
* Develop & Execute PR events including press conferences, product launches and Analyst roundtables
* Support global event initiatives like CES, infoComm and WCG
* Manage ad hoc event budgets

Reporting
* Streamline and deliver weekly and monthly reporting to track SOV, Message adoption and tonality as well as impressions
* Develop and deliver executive bi-annual PR performance reporting
* Contribute to divisional, national and global reports

Internal Communications
* Deliver internal messages to employees

All other duties as assigned by management




Necessary Skills / Attributes


* Bachelor's degree
* 5+ years of experience, preferably in Public Relations and/or Marketing; press management experience a plus
* Information Technology industry experience a must with solid trade and vertical media experience
* High level of professionalism required as a representative of the company
* Ability to work independently and an entrepreneurial spirit; strong decision making skills and problem solving skills
* Ability to multi-task in a fact-paced, customer-focused environment
* Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills
* Strong Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
