Position Summary
Marketing Insights Manager provides contextual reporting to NAHQ and divisional constituents. Role aggregates both qualitative and quantitative information sources on Samsung and competitive product performance and reports information to relevant parties across Samsung organization. Position also serves as clearinghouse for information collected through primary and secondary sources and draws insight from disparate materials for purpose of driving Samsung business and strategy. Quantitative and qualitative skill set and project management expertise required. Knowledge of consumer electronics industry a plus.
Common Essential Duties & Resp.
* Custom Reporting: Hired candidate will gather data/ information from multiple sources and compile insights for regular reporting, from both primary and secondary sources. Also, position will be responsible for selecting the appropriate research methodology and supporting techniques to meet a defined business objective. * Agency management and quality control: Work closely with external research vendors and creative firms ensuring the successful execution of fieldwork. Upon completion, the key findings are reviewed and business-oriented recommendations made to internal stakeholders. * Provide keen insights to business strategy and marketing communications based on research findings and market analysis. Strong analytic skills and a strategic orientation is required (thorough knowledge of questionnaire design, methodology selection, qualitative and quantitative research techniques). * Presentation Preparation: Analysts will be responsible for the creation of presentations based on findings; presentations will be in regard to contextual analysis of US market, as well as to overall strategy of NAHQ.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
Position should have a background of 10+ years work experience in consumer packaged goods, information technology, or consumer electronics research, or should have a similar level of experience in market research. BA is a required degree for this position. Position requires a high degree of communication skills using Microsoft Office products, and should be skilled with in-person presentation as well. Prefer both agency and client side job experience.
