0140960Provide guidance for students to achieve a positive attitude and proper behavior in dormitory living situation and to accomplish their goals and objectives. Determine, recommend and arrange student visits to counselor. Patrol and monitor dormitories and center as required to ensure safety and proper behavior of students; resolve potential or occurring problems. Transport students to and from recreational functions, clothing trips, airport, bus stations, or home as required. Direct students or assist in the cleanup and maintenance of the dormitory. Recommend or requisition supplies to meet needs for dorm living and safety of students. Maintain dormitory and individual student files; maintain dormitory log books. Conduct weekly wing meetings and maintain appropriate documentation. Promote the development of positive social skills among students through modeling appropraite behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
