Dell Perot Systems is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Systems Administration Specialist to join our team in Downtown Los Angeles.

This is a 24x7x365 environment: hours for this position will be a 4-day a week, 10 hours a day schedule of Saturday - Tuesday from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Systems Administration Specialist who will be responsible for performing the analysis, interpretation and taking corrective action of all issues handed off by the support coordinators. This position will execute routine processes associated with all technical aspects of the services rendered by Dell Perot Systems. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for the development of new processes as needed for the continued support of the client base.

Monitor and manage daily workload as assigned by the support coordinators
Effectively and quickly perform complex tasks on any and all client support related issues
Ability and willingness to work in a 24x7x365 environment, all shifts (4 day/10 hour schedule)
Recommend best practices and commonly used solutions to the client base
Interact with departments to implement improvements in processes and procedures
Interact with cross-organizational teams to determine solution support to meet business requirements
Ability to see all assigned tasks to resolution, from assignment through completion to the customer’s satisfaction
Interact with client base in effective manner to assure customer satisfaction
Provide management with daily, weekly and monthly updates of all outstanding tasks that have not been completed to the customer’s satisfaction
Proactively monitor and respond to all alerts
Assist other engineers by providing technical expertise
Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills:
2-5 years of previous customer support or helpdesk experience
1-3 years of Cisco IOS experience
1-3 years of Cisco ASA and/or PIX experience
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, Terminal Services, Group Policy and related technologies
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, VPNs and Cisco IOS
Working knowledge of server hardware, cabling and datacenter infrastructure
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Minimum Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required, B.A./B.S. required, Masters a plus
