Company: Bon Secours Richmond Health System Facility: RHS-Shared Services at Richmond Department: Surgical Services Administration-SS The primary responsibilities of this position are to analyze and assist in the design and/or redesign of processes that efficiently meet the key quality characteristics and needs. To ensure the technical feasibility of user requests and provide support in the management of the application software. Coordinates the revision of existing system pathways or system profiles by various utility programs, online architectural tools and interface and provides appropriate documentation as necessary. Coordinates quality assurance review individually or with assistance of application. Provides around-the-clock support during all conversions, or upon a pre-approved schedule. Participates in or organizes application team meetings as required. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of ORIS. Proactively take on projects and follow through to completion. Train Surgical Services super users in ORIS. This position is to cross-train with Surgical Scheduling Supervisor position, to provide coverage for essential job duties as needed. * Work requires skill in researching, analyzing, and compiling data. Associates or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience. * Requires two to five years of computer technology work experience * Experience in DOS and Windows applications (WIN 95, WIN 3.11) (WIN NT a Plus). * Work requires excellent keyboarding skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Work requires knowledge of perioperative nursing treatment, planning and assessment; generally acquired through a two to four year degree specializing in nursing, acquired from an accredited school of nursing. * Must possess a licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia. * Work requires thorough knowledge of the OR, including physicians, preference cards, supplies and procedures at a level generally acquired through at least ten years clinical OR experience. * Previous experience utilizing a computer and analyzing planning problem-solving and developing effective and efficient procedures encompassing all areas of Surgical Services is preferred.
