Job Summary: The general function and responsibility of this full-time professional position is to provide state-of-the-art expertise in developing the resources to ensure the continued fiscal stability and growth of The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing. Reporting to the President of Central ME Healthcare, the Fiscal/Development Director will play a leadership role in advancing the Center.
Primary responsibilities are for identifying new individual, corporate, and foundation prospects to support The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing, including the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts and donors; working with current board members and executive leadership to identify and recruit new board members who can assist in the expansion of CMMCs philanthropic program; and, in coordination with the CMMC Grantwriter, submitting grant proposals to private foundations.
Requirements: A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership position in a nonprofit organization or business. Fund raising experience with a non-profit organization, with particular experience in the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts.
