Independently coordinates the work of the electrical design team through the schematic design, design development and contract document phases to complete documents on schedule. Establishes meetings and participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Performs on-site technical and feasibility assessments and prepares technical reports. Reviews electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines. Directs the electrical engineering design effort including design calculations and analysis. Writes/edits electrical specifications, selects equipment, electrical building power and lighting systems and devices. Coordinates and assists, with affected disciplines, with any addendum, requests for information, change proposal requests and change orders and is responsible to incorporate agreed upon changes into the project documents. Conducts QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers and Technicians. Qualifications: Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with 10-15 years experienceStrong knowledge of codes and related electrical design industry standards Ability to plan, organize, and lead technical projects and teamsDemonstrates the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with clients, peers and contractors, as well as participates in RFQ shortlist interviews. Software proficiency with AutoCAD, lighting, power system analysis software and Microsoft Office Works well independently or as a team memberWilling/able to travel on a minor to moderate degree basis
