QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 3 years successful experience in organizing, planning, promoting and managing family focused programs is required. A Bachelor?s Degree in Recreation or a related field is preferred.

The incumbent must have the ability to make independent decisions that adhere to the purpose, mission and goals of the YMCA. The incumbent must have experience in recruiting, training and supervising staff.

The incumbent must possess effective computer skills along with strong written and oral communication skills. This position requires excellent human relation skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

The incumbent must successfully complete the YMCA's New Employee Orientation and Child Abuse Prevention Training prior to employment. Protivity training must be completed within 30 days of employment.



JOB SEGMENTS:
1. Responsible for the successful operation of Child and the Adventure Room.

2. Coordinates scheduled birthday parties. Schedules staff, Prepares the program area, Orders supplies, and Communicates with member to ensure details are understood.



3. Coordinates family programs including Parents Night Out and Fun Club.

4. Hires, Supervises, Trains and Evaluates program staff.

5. Maintains a safe and efficient environment within all assigned departments.

6. Serves as the department coordinator in the annual Strong Kids Campaign.

7. Carries Out all association plans and policies.

8. Implements YMCA Buffalo Niagara survey collection procedures ensuring the collection of critical customer feedback. Achieves a 25%/50% return rate and a 90% satisfaction rate.

9. Serves as a member of the total staff team in the operation of the Southtowns Branch. Performs supervisor?s duties during absences.

10. Participates accordingly in such projects as staff training, meetings, product teams, etc.

11. Carries Out other tasks as assigned.

The extraordinary delivery of member benefit services resulting in consistent membership growth and increased membership retention.

STATUS: Non-Exempt Full-time


SCHEDULE: 40 hrs per week. Flexible schedule required. Generally:
11:00 pm ? 8:00 pm Tuesday ? Friday
9:00 am ?
