SWIB is seeking an Equities Analyst to join its highly regarded U.S. equities coverage team. The new Analyst will play a critical role on the team in gathering and analyzing the market, company, industry and product information that shapes the team?s investment recommendations and decisions for U.S. small-cap stocks. Resposibilities will include: ? Recommending appropriate strategies for U.S. small-cap investments, including rating individual stocks on whether they will underperform or outperform their sector benchmark, and assigning relative weights to industry subsectors. ? Monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating industry developments, risks, and opportunities from conferences, web casts, analyst meetings, company meetings, quarterly conference calls, etc. ? Identifying and recommending new outperform and/or underperform ideas and communicating these ideas with the team. ? Continuously expanding knowledge within the U.S. small-cap institutions; focusing on key investment drivers/risks and valuation methods. ? Producing and maintaining company DCF models and quantitative models on an ongoing basis, as appropriate. This is a full-time position. A highly competetive salary is offered. Qualifications required: ? A Master?s in business or similar degree with an investment or financial focus preferred. ? CFA or progress toward the CFA certification strongly preferred. ? Experience in equity research and stock selection. ? Excellent analytical/quantitative skills, particularly DCF, accounting and Excel financial/quantitative modeling skills. ? Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to clearly and quickly communicate ideas and recommendations verbally and in writing. ? Comfort taking initiative, being resourceful, performing within a team environment, and making investment recommendations ort taking initiative, being resourceful, and making investment decisions. ? Maturity, judgment and poise. ? Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence. ? Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. ?
