SCOPE The Command & Control Systems (C2S) Group is seeking an experienced Enterprise Services Coalition Network Engineer to support the 7th Theater Signal Brigade residing in Bagram Afghanistan, as part of the Joint Network Operations Control Center Afghanistan (JNCC-A) in Bagram, Afghanistan. The Enterprise Services Coalition Network Engineer will be part of a Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Information (C4I) services team that will support planning, program management, integration, operation, and maintenance of a unified network management function for all C2 systems and services of the Program. RESPONSIBILITIES Direct operational responsibility to: -Will serve as the Theater Subject Matter Experts and maintenance support engineers for all Tier 1 through Tier 2 routing requirements in the CJOA. -The Theater SME shall manage, monitor and maintain situational awareness of all Routing and data paths in theater with emphasis on Coalition supported cross connects, systems and projects under the responsibility of the USFOR-A CJOA. - Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * In-depth knowledge of network management including LAN/WAN and Security. Three (3) years direct routing protocol experience (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) * Working knowledge of IP / MPLS / ATM transmissions systems * Experience with QoS, IPV6, WAN acceleration * Cisco Professional Level certification * Must possess an active Secret Clearance - Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) * Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment with short timelines * Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations * Ability to maintain high quality work to manage multiple critical projects * Ability to perform and participate in a team oriented environment * Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of network users * Excellent customer service skills and demeanor REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR): -Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Business Administration or Mathematics.
