My name is Andrew M., and I am a Physical Therapist who has worked in outpatient settings for my entire 18 year career. I joined Physiotherapy Associates as the Facility Director of their Barberton, OH location in October 2007. For several years prior to joining Physio, I had worked at a small privately-owned practice and I was initially skeptical about joining such a large organization. However, I found that under the warm guidance of my Group Director, I was given more access to the pertinent information of my business than I had ever received before - all of the metrics and budget information necessary, plus opportunities to consistently network with a large group of clinicians and managers who work throughout Ohio. In addition, through Physio?s extensive continuing education program, I have been given the chance to learn new skills from several renowned PT?s who actually work for the organization. All of this has enabled me to learn more about this industry and how it works, thus making me a stronger clinician and manager. At my facility, we provide strong one-on-one care to a variety of orthopedic patients ? sports injuries, spine care, and industrial rehab. Our clinic is state-of-the-art, with the best tools available and whenever a new tool is needed, I have found Physiotherapy Associates to be very responsive towards meeting those needs. I have also found Physio to be an organization that recognizes that its employees are real people who have commitments and responsibilities outside of the work place. The balance between ?work? and my home life has been made possible with the support of management and the generous PTO benefits that Physio provides. I have young children and I always been able to spend the time needed to be with them, despite working very hard for Physio ? I have found there to be a ?two-way flexibility,? meaning that while I might have to work some evenings to accommodate clientele who are only available at that time, I am also able to leave earlier when necessary.
