The C/C++ Static Analysis team is looking for an exceptional C/C++ developer to join the Coverity core analysis team. The job involves creation of new checkers, evolving Coverity's state of the art analysis infrastructure, and generally push the envelope of static analysis.

The perfect candidate will have a strong passion for improving software quality and preferably a background in programming languages and static analysis. If you've got experience with any known static analysis and developer testing tools like Fortify, Parasoft, or Klocwork, we'd love to talk to you!

Responsibilities
. Experimentation with new checker ideas
. Design and implementation of new checkers and analysis infrastructure
. Creation of comprehensive test plans
. Systematic unit and black box testing for all deliverables

Qualifications: Must Have
. Master's or PhD degree in computer science or related fields
. Significant experience in C/C++ development (4+ years)
. Strong understanding of C and C++
. Experience with Object Oriented programming and design
. Experience with development on UNIX

Qualifications: Nice to Have
. Background in programming languages and static analysis
. Experience with C++ templates
. Experience with standard libraries (like standard C library, MFC etc)
. Strong understanding of Java or C#
. Experience with development on Windows
