Machine Operator

We are looking for an experienced Honing Machine Operator that has experience with honing piston-bores.

*Determines size of required piston and either grinds it from blank or selects one from step-sized assortment.
*Double-checks visually piston-bore for sharp corners or burrs, before inserting seal.
*Connects work pieces to vacuum-fill station and fills oil-system.
*Inserts specified ball and screw into vent hole and seals it up.
*Tests function of expansion zone.

Job Experience:

.Understands blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals and sample parts to determine function and tolerances of finished work-piece; sequence of operations.
.Operation and handling of calipers, ID and OD micrometers.
.Understands metric system.
.Clear understanding of parts and their function.
.Verifies conformance of finished workpiece by visually checking, testing function and signing off on manufacturing papers.
