Company Profile: Strong Long Standing Stable Company Experiencing Growth Job Description: Responsible for total technical stewardship of all equipment in the Packaging department assigned. Apply maintenance and engineering skills to solve packaging line problems utilizing plant, company, and external resources. Apply multi-discipline engineering and maintenance procedures to upgrade the manufacturing process. Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems using in-depth knowledge of plant operations. This supervisor receives general direction from the Packaging Manager. Responsibilities include: Lead the technical support of Packaging Operations for all aspects of the packaging process Develop and maintain expertise in packaging functional specialties that can cost effectively be used to fully support the plant as the "on-site" Packaging Engineer. This will include supporting the day to day operations. Provide manufacturing technology expertise to support plant led projects and initiatives. Maintain linkages with outside suppliers and inside users of equipment, systems, and manufacturing technologies to influence the development of, or acquire technology beneficial to the plant. Provide technical leadership within the plant and foster the development of plant Associates, technical resources and capabilities in the plant while supporting positive progression of the team's cultural journey as a high performance organization of enthusiastic owners Technically lead the packaging effort to better enable plant Associates to understand and address concerns. Provide thorough and practical solutions to technical problems. Demonstrates proficiency in analytical problem solving and the transfer of knowledge to others Job Requirements: Degree Required: Engineering (ME, EE, IE. Or ChE) or Industrial Management preferred. 5-7 years experience in Packaging Operations Desire experience with interacting with and managing vendors, suppliers, contractors Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing or TPM practices is a plus Must have solid experience in mechanical and analytical decision making Demonstrated presentation, organizational, analytical, and verbal/nonverbal communication skills Leadership ability with demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products and mainframe business applications Willing to work off-shift work as needed Must have demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of the organization Ability to function as a member of a cross-functional team by actively participating and adding value Must have the desire and potential to move up through the organization, including a willingness to relocate Solid mechanical skills and the ability to use these skills to troubleshoot Must be highly motivated and assertive with a strong commitment to succeed Desired Qualifications: - Ability to drive continuous improvements leveraging Lean Manufacturing processes - Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization - Ability to handle multiple priorities and a team player attitude - Fosters strong relationships among engineering and other business functions - Ability to lead project teams and successfully operate within larger project/program teams, and with all levels of plant organizations Keywords: Retail, Engineering, Fulfillment, Manager, Purchasing / Procurement, Quality Control, Supply Chain
