As the head of operations, the Ops Manager must understand the corporate identity of the employer. He/She then uses this information to make sure that his/her departments and divisions fits corporate identity and meets the goals set by the chief executives. This position may also participate in setting company goals and business strategies. A Operations Manager duties will also include supervising middle managers and all support staff with an understanding of which business tasks should be delegated to a middle manager and which tasks should be handled personally, is vital to this position?s success. Proper management of personal and staff time is critical to this role to effectively and consistently meet objectives and goals.
