Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training or work experience.
3+ years of experience with installation, monitoring and maintaining Oracle WebLogic servers in a clustered server environment.
Understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with web services such as (REST, SOAP, etc.).
3+ years of web development and .NET experience.
Background with Oracle APEX and Developer tools such as GIT, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian developer products and at least two items of the following categories:
Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, or PKI
Java Server Pages (JSP).
J-Query and other Java Script Plug-Ins.
Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL-SQL) functions, packages, database views,
constraints, and triggers.
Database generated reports and files in Portable Document Format (PDF), Extensible
Markup Language (XML), and Microsoft Products.
Source Code Control.
SDLC implementation experience.
Strong knowledge of web application fundamentals and ability to create support documentation for new applications.
Excellent communication skills and maintaining customer/team relationships.
Experience working with an Agile development team
Final Secret IT-1 required; Top Secret preferred.
Experience working in a government setting.
Experience working in an Agile development environment utilizing a DevSecOps pipeline to provide continuous integration and continuous delivery of capability
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Shall operate and maintain a front-end interface webpage, graphical user interface (GUI) control, web-enabled ASP .NET application which connects to the DISA Storefront Database and provides user input and output capability.
Create applications that address the phases of software development cycle (SDLC).
Formulate and define system scope, objectives, and comprehensive application testing procedures.
Coordinate, design, code, test, debug, and document programs and processes.
Update existing applications to meet security and functionality standards outlined in the website policies.
Implement testing tools that monitor ongoing performance of the website.
Regular communication with customers during requirements analysis and managing scope creep.
Maintain system code in a government provided web application version control system, such as (ex. Git or SVN).
Assist with updating and developing applications that follow industry best practices and design patterns meeting the latest technical requirements.
While performing duties of the job, incumbent will be exposed to Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face. This position requires incumbent to have the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
