JOB DESCRIPTIONRegistered Nurse / RN Infection Control (State Travel)
Work Location: Annville, PA
InGenesis is currently seeking a Registered Nurse / RN to work with our client located Annville, PA. In this role, you will maintain and update the infection control program to ensure a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment. Your work will be crucial to prevent the development and transmission of disease and infection.

Serve as charge nurse or in a leadership position (assigning work, interviewing employees, handling leave requests, initiating disciplinary action, etc.).
Gather information from reports and visits to facilities.
Assist in surveillance of infection control within facilities.
Document trends of infections and corrective actions.
Coordinate PPD administration and immunizations for all residents and employees.
Prepare data and reports for quarterly meetings.
Enter health data for residents in EMR database.
Assist staff with isolation protocols.
Maintain a current infection control reference manual.
Monitor temperature surveillance in all unit medication refrigerators.
Complete monthly medication exchange with pharmacists.
Oversee inventory and ordering of all medicine and supplies.
Complete all admission/re-admission assessments and related documentation.
Observe residents conditions.
Conduct environment rounds on a daily basis, document findings, and take corrective actions.
Manage nursing health education and health counseling.
Attend all required trainings or meetings.
Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
Current Registered Nurse / RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Current BLS certification.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
Ability to travel to facilities.
