This engineer s primary responsibility includes but not limited to maintaining HVAC / refrigeration systems at a large pharmaceutical distribution site. This person will analyze existing HVAC systems for reliability and efficiency improvement needs and subsequently implement improvements in maintenance practices and procedures. A primary role of this engineer will be managing maintenance of the sites HVAC / refrigeration systems. This engineer will be responsible for coordinating validation records to assure compliance. Key goals for this engineer will be improving robustness and reliability of critical HVAC / refrigeration systems.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in maintenance of HVAC / refrigeration in pharmaceutical distribution site. Excellent skills and the ability to effectively manage work in a dynamic environment are required. The position will support operations in troubleshooting and resolving issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions and minimizing HVAC related operational issues. This position will also require knowledge of BAS / temp. monitoring systems
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in the maintenance and continuous operation of additional building systems including: fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, some electrical systems,, cabling (data), lighting and temperature controls systems, critical environments,), digital systems (fire alarm) Coordinate with outside vendors as necessary.
Assist the Chief engineer in identifying the maintenance objectives of the facility and incorporate those objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, corrective and reliability maintenance procedures.
Has in-depth knowledge of all building systems and how they function
Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes.
Identify safety hazards within the building and incorporate the remediation of such hazards to ensure that the building s staff and occupants work in a safe environment. Implement, administer, and manage safety training program.
Providing customer interface and support
Assure Document Management quality
Ensure that compliance of all regulatory laws and guidelines are met as they relate to the operation of the building
Support projects performed at the building are properly planned, executed. And completed
Assist in overseeing the activities of contractors working within the building.
Responsible for keeping records of buildings rounds and readings, all engineering logs and engineering data sheets.
Responsible for advance training and notification to all contractors so that they are informed and knowledgeable with respects to the building s critical functions and the work they are to perform.
Ensure that all JLL work processes/ job safety analysis is well-understood and contractors who perform work on the building s critical infrastructure.
Performs additional job duties as requested.
Skills/QualificationsAssociate Degree in and engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
7+ years facility related work experience, including customer service, leadership and supervisory experience
Demonstrated technical expertise in facility related systems
Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC s (or within 90 days of employment)
Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills
Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
