The Finance Analyst II position for Physician Finance is in a large healthcare system setting. The position provides analytical and consultative support to key management stakeholders through the measurement, evaluation, and communication of financial results to be integrated into day-to-day operations across various UH business units. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and work products have high visibility with senior leadership; accuracy and attention to details are extremely important.
This position uses various systems to provide data and information. This role requires knowledge and ability to leverage various reporting software programs in developing and reconciling financial and analytical data. The position will assist in the forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting and financial support of all clinical, operational departments and service lines. Strong communication skills are essential. This position will also support other related hospital and ambulatory services.
o Financial statement analysis and review
o Develop new reporting & models while evolving existing tools
o Budget & forecast preparation
o Assist in business plan review
o Participate on projects as needed with both finance & other various departments
o Preparation of various analyses as requested by Finance, Senior Leadership, Directors and other internal and external sources
o Bachelor s degree, preferably in finance, accounting or business required.
o MBA/CPA preferred.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
o Two plus years accounting or finance experience required.
o Must be detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability.
o Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills required.
o Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required.
o Self-motivated to investigate trends and variances, develop reporting efficiencies, and recommend solutions.
o Ability to extract and report data from various software systems
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to prioritize business initiatives through time management.
SPECIAL SKILLS & EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
o Demonstrated strong ability to use information technology systems, such as Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel & PowerPoint). Power BI/Tableau, Oracle, and Hyperion Essbase experience.
o Demonstrated ability to learn & utilize multiple systems for data mining.
