JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) functions as a clinical support partner to provide direct and indirect patient care activities as directed by the staff nurse. The PCT performs various basic care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal, physical and comfort needs of patients. The PCT may be required to provide services on several different nursing floors during a scheduled shift
High School graduate or equivalent required
BLS Certification is required
WV CNA certification is required OR Must be WV CNA Board Certified within 3 months of hire. OR National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited PCT OR current RN student with at least 6 months of clinical experience in a RN program. ADN or BSN graduates who are unable to pass boards may remain in this role for 1 year
