We celebrate our wins, but never settle.**Responsibilities:**We are looking for a Principal Product Designer to join our expanding International team. This is an opportunity to collaborate with the very best in design, product and technology to help shape industry-leading products used by millions across the world.As a Principal Product Designer on the Disney+ Team, you will focus on the total content experience - home screen to video player. You will lead a small team of designers, innovating on a variety of features that showcase our world-class titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Reporting to the Senior Director of Design in San Francisco, you will be a part of a dynamic product design team that spans San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam.As a Principal you will:+ Lead a team of 2-4 designers, ranging from middle to principal level.+ Coach the team through product ideation and development using a mature, modern design process.+ Facilitate the successful delivery of design from concept to deployment.+ Design complex, multi platform interfaces using Sketch, Abstract, Zeplin and Invision.+ Lead as a subject matter expert for the rest of the design team, providing design guidance, documenting and socializing best practices+ Provide thought leadership to develop the right design strategy, and use UX methodologies to bring value to the user and the business+ You are the domain expert for all designs owned by your team. You can speak crisply to the current and planned designs of the team's projects.+ Demonstrate deep knowledge of device platform best practices and guidelines.+ Adhere to and help shape our design system and brand guidelines, ensuring a high-level of quality, establishing a consistent look and feel throughout the product, and only diverging when the need is validated+ Collaborate with peers in research, product, engineering, and marketing on cross-functional projects from start to finish.+ Keeping up with industry trends, you'll identify areas for improvement for the overall product design team covering people, process, and practice.
