-Managed spend related to resale and internal consumption
-Exposure to working directly with and presenting to end clients/customers
Purpose of Role:
The role holder is responsible for the provision of a world class procurement service that delivers competitive advantage to the client with key responsibilities in the Categories focusing on Strategic Sourcing, Innovation, Governance and Compliance and Savings. The role holder will engage in various spend categories / vendors across the Americas Region.
The role holder acts as a Procurement Specialist, leading Procurement on the most significant and complex deals across the clients lines of business.

Strong commercial skills with ability to proactively seek and demonstrate sourcing innovation and ensure value for money over the long-term with ability to draft and negotiate contracts liaising with legal and technical experts. The role requires the ability to work within the governance boundaries and produce legally binding supplier contracts
-Commercial Thinker. Negotiation proven track record demonstrating the ability to plan and lead negotiations with suppliers engaging subject matter experts where appropriate, e.g. technical architects from TSO or Legal on IPR, etc.
-Recent / relevant experience in the category, line of business and line management experience is preferred
-To develop and execute procurement plans appropriate to their product and services deliver maximum commercial advantage to the client to include selection and application of appropriate procurement processes for a particular product and or service.
-To negotiate appropriate commercial and contractual arrangements with suppliers and for all products and services in their control, including loading information onto appropriate systems.
-To lead complex procurement negotiations in the business and externally with Suppliers.
-To work closely with internal business partners to understand their requirements, mapping these to the clients strategy and driving the agenda.
-To lead on the large, complex procurement deals, interfacing with the most senior levels or internal and external clients to develop requirements and ensure best value solution
-To foster and develop supplier and internal stakeholder relationships at senior levels, owning strategic relationships and contact strategy. Develop new relationships in areas of strategic focus where the client has few established links globally. Building strong working relationships with the Procurement professionals in the countries across Americas.
-Drives and delivers optimal commercial solutions by understanding and leveraging the end-to-end business factors.
-To develop and co-ordinate a virtual team across Procurement including key members of other CFUs to deliver the procurement and business needs of the deal
-To manage their supply base to ensure delivery against contractual and commercial commitments and In Contract supplier performance and ensure business benefit is realized.
-To take personal ownership for utilization of contracts, ensuring order channel strategy enables internal business partners to order items efficiently and contracts reflect customer requirements for their duration.
-Works with a high degree of autonomy.
-Contributes to the definition of processes, policy and business strategy.
-Responsible for complex, high value/risk contracts and supplier relationships.
-As defined within the Procurement Authority levels set out within the clients Procurement Policy.
-Typically educated to degree standard and / or business management qualification with relevant level of experience.
-Professionally qualified (CIPS CPSM or equivalent external accreditation).
-Relevant skills and an in depth knowledge of procurement principles, and the ability to apply these as required in any area.
-Significant experience in Direct Procurement roles in an international business environment.
